Introduction to Interior Architecture

In this studio, students are introduced to foundational concepts such as the built environment, body–space relationships, and architectural representation. An understanding of the built environment is developed through sketching, photographing, collage, and storytelling. Using selected stories from Italo Calvino’s Invisible Cities, students translate narrative ideas into habitable spaces through experimental model making. Architectural representation skills are further built through fundamental diagramming and drawing exercises.
