Human Centered Design
This studio focuses on human scale, community impact and accessibility. Students study human dimensions in relation to furniture, ceiling heights, doorways, hallways and staircases including ADA requirements. In Spring 2024, working through a universal design lens, the studio explored how small‑scale spatial decisions can support broader community needs, culminating in proposals for public bathrooms in the central Ballard area.
