Comparative Interiors and Objects

This course examines objects and interiors from the early 19th to the late 20th century through a comparative and critical lens. Using global examples of furniture and material culture, the class explores how textiles, patterns, ceramics, toys, and other everyday design elements shape spatial experiences, with particular attention to early expressions of universal design and environmentally conscious material choices.
